| About
the painting: The name of this 1300’ high
peninsula means “busy place”, a place with many
animals. It was one of Pangnirtung Fiord’s favorite
places to hunt in 1926 when my father Maurice Haycock lived
there. He introduced me to the area in 1985, when I made
the sketch for this painting. |
